Mineral Mountain 110 Permit Boundary Issues
At issue is the possibility of two parcels of BLM managed public land within the permit boundary. The two parcels in
question have been designated as the "South Area" and the "North Area inside Permit Area" by Mr.Art Braun, PE, Braun
Environmental, Inc., in an e-mail to Stephanie Carter, BLM Royal Gorge Field Office Geologist, dated May 11, 2015. In
the e-mail, Mr. Braun is of the opinion that the two parcels are not BLM public land, but are part of privately owned
patented mining claims. Based on a review of Mineral Survey Plats and Field Notes, and Patent documents, it is my
opinion that the two parcels are still un-patented public land managed by the BLM. RECEIVED
"South Area" JUN 25 2015
[A]SION Of RECLAMATION
This parcel of land is a 0.23 acre area within the original surveyed boundaries of the Little Hope`oodeN 'was excluded
from the patent of the Little Hope lode, and by record area conflicts with the Colburn lode, was not included in the
patent of the Colburn lode.
The Little Hope lode was located in 1891 and originally survey in 1894 as Mineral Survey No. 8731, containing an area of
9.901 acres. In 1895, a 0.23 acre portion of ground was relinquished from the Little Hope lode, thus reducing the area to
9.671 acres. On July 11, 1895, the Little Hope lode was patented under GLO Document No. 25842, containing 9.67
acres, which exclude the 0.23 acre parcel from the patent.
a
I
r
i
d xrrac:aarsr,t!nw... 1
i
hr
f <>
d , tj l.,,.,.rrc._, ;,•<. . r ,. •F,+ r t e . ,;;x, ,-a"coa ,f, t?tzxrtr.P:fi° t'• t".r✓'r:; .-- .
. , . ``,r 7
!I.fU f/ /Jr F1 1'.
