W MINING, LLC
January 27, 2016
Mr. Jason Musick
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Co. 80203
Swso
Re: Oxbow Mining, LLC., Terror Creek Loadout, Permit C-1983-059
2015 Annual Hydrologic Report
Dear Mr. Musick,
Please accept this letter as the 2015 Annual Hydrologic Report for the Oxbow Mining, LLC.,
Terror Creek Loadout. As the Division is aware the facility has been dismantled and equipment
removed from the site. In the spring of 2015 a minimal amount of domestic coal was screened
for local markets utilizing a small portable screening plant, but it too has been removed.
The sediment pond and dugout pond are both inspected at least quarterly. During 2015 no water
discharges occurred. No water monitoring was performed or was required at the site.
Water is no longer used at the loadout facility for dust suppression or office use. The shower
facility has been removed from service. During screening for local markets, dust suppression
included water applied to roadways and conveyor dust suppression, but this water was brought
from offsite. The site has two sources of water, which were not used during 2015. There is a
domestic well which supplied water for the office and showers and water from the Deer Trail
Ditch was used for dust suppression of the loadout facility. There is no record kept of
consumptive use during the year.
Please call me at 970-929-6034 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Doug A.
