Trujillo <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mi ling and Safety <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />p1v�s�0 <br />1\0 <br />Re: Colowyo Coal Mine (Permit No. C-1981-019) Minor Revision No. 148 (MR -148) West Pit Sock Pond As- <br />Builts (HC #67752) <br />Dear Mr. Trujillo: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated December 31, 2015 (received by our office on January 6, 2016) <br />regarding the above referenced minor revision. <br />As the proposed activities appears largely administrative in nature, it is our opinion that a finding of no historic <br />properties affected is appropriate pursuant to 36 CFR 800.4(d)(1). <br />The Section 106 consultation process does involve other consulting parties such local governments and Tribes <br />which as stipulated to 36 CFR 800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. Additional information <br />provided by these or other consulting parties may cause our office to re-evaluate our comments and <br />recommendations. <br />Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered in the course of the project, work must be <br />interrupted until the resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register of Historic Places eligibility <br />criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
