We submit this in accordance with Rule 4.17 of the Construction
Materials Rules and Regulations. The property within the permit boundary for which the release
is requested is owned by:
U.S. Department of Energy
Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Environmental Oversight Office
Golden, CO
Attn: Laura Margason
720-356-1322
Laura. Box 25486, DFC
Denver, CO 80225
Lafarge is requesting a release of the undisturbed portions of the reclamation permit in the
Northeast portion of the permit. Both areas of release are shown, outlined in Black and Yellow
on the enclosed map. This area was a future mining area and buffer land that was undisturbed
during the life of the operation. Since that time, the Department of Energy has utilized the
Northern property for renewable energy sources. Lafarge would like to release this area to better
facilitate use by the US government and remove any liability still held by Lafarge. I thank you for
your consideration on this matter and I can be reached at the cell phone number below to set up
an inspection.
Sincerely,
Sean Frisch, AICP
Senior Land Manager
Cell: 720-320-2451
email: sean.frisch@lafarge.com
4fR 0.1
—+ Complied!
--> 2 Violations: MV -2001-008
MV -2003-001
LAFARGE NORTH AMERICA
8700 Bryn Mawr Ave, Ste 300
Chicago, IL 60631
