October 7, 2015
CONSTRUCTION, INC.
556 Struthers Ave — Grand Junction — Colorado - 81501
Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety
818 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203
Re: M-2008-022, Breeze Basin Gravel Pit, Response to Corrective Action
RECEIVED
'VNOV 05Z015
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
HMG AIM SAFETY
Amy,
As identified in the site inspection of the Breeze Basin Gravel Pit on September 9, 2015,
requesting to, "implement approved weed control plan and provide proof to the Division
that this has been done." This was noted as a problem in the report and for corrective
action to commence, thus directing Elam Construction (Elam) to supply documentation
and fee no later than November 17, 2015. Elam Construction has no documentation of a
previously existing weed control plan for Permit M-2008-022. However, Elam has
always operated each pit in accordance with the rules and regulations, including weed
management.
Since the inspection date, Elam has developed a weed management plan in consultation
with the Moffat County weed control district to better regulate noxious weed species for
the Breeze Basin Gravel Pit.
Please find attached document for the Noxious Weed Management Plan for the Breeze
Basin Gravel Pit, as well as, invoices providing evidence of previous weed control. All
noted problems for revegetation specified in the inspection report are addressed in the
weed management plan provided. Also attached, is the requested Technical Revision fee
in order to process the approved plan.
Any further questions or concerns should be directed to Jon Mueller, in written form,
phone, or email provided (970) 255 — 2098 / jon.mueller@elamconstruction.com
Russell A.
