Trujillo <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />RECEIVED <br />NOV 0 4 2015 <br />°1°NWj� <br />Re: New Horizon Mine (Permit No. C-1981-008), Technical Revision No. 69 ("IR -69), Proposed Pond 018 (HC <br />#67409) <br />Dear Mr. Bowles: <br />Thank you for your correspondences dated October 19, 2015 (received by our office on October 22, 2015) <br />regarding the above referenced undertaking. <br />In consideration of the information that we currently have on file for the area of potential effects, it is our <br />opinion that a finding of no historic properties affected is appropriate for this undertaking pursuant to 36 CFR <br />800.4(d)(1). <br />The consultation process does involve other consulting parties including local governments and Tribes, which as <br />stipulated in 36 CFR 800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. Additional information provided by <br />these consulting parties may cause our office to re-evaluate our comments and recommendations. <br />If previously unidentified archaeological resources are discovered in the course of the project, work must be <br />interrupted until the resources are properly evaluated in terms of the National Register of Historic Places <br />eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
