September 16, 2015
RECEIVED
SEP 16 2015
Mr. Tyler O'Donnell DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety MINING AND SAFETY
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 AL
Denver, CO 80203
Tyler. Odonnell@state. co. us AGGREGATE
Re: Permit No. M-1999-034 —Cooley Reservoir and Fulton Wildlife Area INDUSTRIES
TR -04 Second Adequacy Review Response
Dear Tyler:
Aggregate Industries (AI) submits this letter in response to the Division's second
adequacy review of TR -04 regarding weed control at the above -referenced operation. As
requested by the Division in said review, Al commits to mowing all noxious weeds at a
minimum of once in the spring and once in the fall, prior to seed set, with the spring
mowing to occur prior to June 30 of each year.
As we discussed this morning, the above mowing commitment is applicable to the City of
Thornton reservoir site west of the South Platte River. Weed control east of the River
will continue as discussed in AI's September 3, 2015 response to the Division's first
adequacy review of TR -04, incorporating either or both mechanical and chemical
controls appropriate to the area being treated.
Please note that that AI's September 3 response apparently inaccurately referred to the
current TR as TR -054. I had an electronic copy of the Division's initial adequacy review
that showed the TR -054 reference so that is what I had used; however, the hard copy of
that review did show the current revision number to be TR -04.
As we also discussed this morning, this response is being provided to you via e-mail
only. Please advise me if the Division determines that a hard copy is to be mailed or has
any other questions or concerns to be addressed to facilitate approval of TR -04.
Very truly yours,
/an"xci %J .
