These need to be
addressed prior to my Division approving this revision.
1. On page 96 of Rule 2 there is a reference to Rio Tinto road design guidelines. I believe this language
needs to be updated.
2. The submittal did not include any analysis for sizing the culverts, and Sheets 2 and 3 (Map 25E) do not
list the sizes or material for these structures. This information needs to be added to the Colowyo PAP.
3. Sheet 3 of Map 25E does not include construction notes. These should be added. If these notes diverge
significantly from the current version of this map (from PR -03), please explain why.
4. I received a letter dated July 28, 2015 from the office of the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO)
regarding the Collom haul road and TR -106. They are requesting more information regarding site
5MF1652. Please let me know the Tri-State response to this request. This letter from SHPO can be
found in our Laserfiche system. However, if you need a hard copy of this letter, please let me know, and
I will gladly send it.
This concludes the list of items for this adequacy letter. If you have any questions, please contact me at
303.866.3567 (extension 8113) or Rob.Zuber@state.co.us.
Sincerely,
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist II
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
