Sollars <br />Mine Manager <br />Peabody Twentymile Mining LLC <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br />Oak Creek, Colorado 80467 <br />Dear Mr. Sollars: <br />Mine Safety and Health Administration <br />P O Box 25367 <br />Denver, Colorado 80225 <br />Coal Mine Safety and Health <br />District 9 <br />RE: Foidel Creek Mine <br />ID No. 05-03836 <br />Permit for Mining Under Bodies of Water <br />30 CFR §75.1716-4 <br />Site -Specific Plan: Development of First Panel <br />Tailgate in the Wolf Creek Seam <br />The referenced plan for mining under a body of water is approved as a Permit in <br />accordance with 30 CFR § 75.1716-4. <br />The submittal consists of a cover letter dated October 13, 2014,11 pages, and one map <br />addressing development of the "First Panel Tailgate" in the Wolf Creek seam. <br />This approved Permit is site specific for the subject development and will terminate <br />upon completion of the project. All provisions of the plan must be followed. The <br />Permit is not approved for any other mining under the flooded areas of the Wadge <br />seam, including retreat mining. <br />Plans and Permits are required under 30 CFR § 75.1716-2 that give details for <br />dewatering and monitoring the currently flooded areas of the Wadge seam prior to <br />retreat mining in panel 1, or any mining in panels 6 through 9, or 10 through 13. <br />,S,SENT OP <br />i to <br />TdO3TATES Of l��0 <br />A copy of this plan must be made available to the miners and must be reviewed with all <br />persons affected by this plan. <br />Please be reminded of requirements that will affect planning and designs for the Wolf <br />Creek seam. <br />
