RICHMOND
andy a.danielsonrainville.com
I want to thank you for taking the time to speak with Luke Danielson and me regarding the King
Coal Mine in La Plata County, Colorado. We represent a group of concerned local landowners.
As we stated in our phone calls, we are just in the preliminary stages about gathering
information about the history, issues, and proposed actions surrounding the mine. As
understand from our phone calls, King Coal I and King Coal II have permit C- 1981035. GCC has
submitted an application for an exploration permit, but DRMS determined that the application
was incomplete and required additional information. In addition to seeking permits from
DRMS, GCC is working with BLM and La Plata County regarding an expansion.
We request that you put us on any mailing list that you might have to keep members of the
public informed about project updates, opportunities for comment, and other relevant
information.
Thank you again for speaking with us.
Best Regards
Sarah Coleman
Cc: Luke Danielson, Esq.
