NEVI ELK COAL
COMPANY
October 23, 2014
Division of Reclamation, Mine and Safety
1313Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Discharge Monitoring Report — 3rd Quarter 2014
Lorencito Canyon
Mine — Permit No. COG- 850044
y
RECEIVED
OCT 2 9 7014
Discharge Monitoring Reports for the above referenced permit for the Third quarter
of 2014 are enclosed. Ponds 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 9a had limited discharges that were
not able to be sampled during inspection periods of this quarter. The ponds did
discharge but never discharging during our surface inspections. When the ponds
were discharging was during two major storms that hit the area. Which lead to the
ponds not being accessible to get samples from and only discharged for a short
period of time.
Sincerely,
Louis Head
Secretary
12250 State Hwy 12 PHONE (303) 300 -8877 Or (303) 300 -8879
Weston, Colorado 81091 FAX ((719) 868 -0044
