COLORADO
Y Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
October 16, 2014
Rob Mangone
Rocky Mountain Materials & Asphalt, Inc.
1910 Rand Ave
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
RE: Penrose Ranch's, Permit No. M -1992 -016, Revision No. SR -1
Financial Warranty Reduction Approval
Dear Mangone:
On September 16, 2014 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved your request for a Financial
Warranty Reduction to $281,283.09. This is a reduction of $281,283.09 to the $562,566.18 Financial
Warranty required with the approval of Amendment 3 (AM -03). This decision reduces the amount of the
financial warranty, and does not approve any release of reclamation responsibility for the tasks associated with
this request. The 100 acres for which reclamation was approved are still considered by the Division to be part
of the Affected Area included in the 200 acres of maximum allowed affected area (approved with AM -03).
These areas are to be considered reclaimed for the purpose of establishing the current required financial
warranty, and will remain part of the affected area until such time as an acreage release is requested and
approved by the Division. Should the operation require additional affected area prior to requesting an area
reduction (and approval by the Division), an amendment will be required.
No change to the existing rider to the current Financial Warranty is required as the currently held $281,283.09
equals the revised required Financial Warranty.
If you have any questions, please contact me (303- 866 -3567 ext. 8169).
Sincerely,
Timothy A.
