(Tri- State) is submitting the enclosed
"Application Form for a Revision to a Coal Mining and Reclamation Permit" for a technical revision
application on behalf of the Western Fuels - Colorado, A Limited Liability Company (Western Fuels -
Colorado) New Horizon Mine. Tri -State is the parent company of Western Fuels - Colorado. The New
Horizon Mine operates under Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (CDRMS) Permit
No. C- 1981 -008.
This technical revision application for the New Horizon Mine is being submitted to change the
type of connection(s) to be used at the trench drain nexus, and to revise the outlet location so that the
trench drain will discharge into the Pond 013 flume rather than into the pond. Finally, the Trench Drain
Design in Attachment 2.05.3(3) -25 will be moved to Attachment 2.05.3(3) -26 to avoid confusion with
another Attachment 2.05.3(3) -25 that addresses the Second Park Lateral Relocation Piping. Please refer
to the attached Change Sheet for a list of the maps or pages that have been added or removed by this
technical revision application.
If you have any questions about the enclosed revision, please contact Chris Gilbreath at (303)
254 -3291 or cgilbreathntri state gq.org.
BAW:JS:pvt
Enclosure
cc: Mike Boulay, DRMS (Grand Junction)
Chris Gilbreath (via email)
Jason Storey (via email
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY; AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
A Touchstone Energy Cooperative
T
Sincerely,
Barbara A.
