The current permit area is 2,632.08 acres according to the approval letter issued after the last acreage reduction request in 2012.After defining the new lease area and eliminating oil and gas development land that was previously removed from the permit,the resulting new permit area is 715 acres.That amount is dependent upon also obtaining a release for the reclaimed south lowland area.That was included in the previous request that was recently withdrawn in favor of this approach,as suggested by the Division.If that reclaimed land is not released then the 715 acres would necessarily increase.The south lowland area is included in a separate parcel in the lease that totals 80 acres.However,not all of that acreage would be added back to the 715 acres.In fact,it would be more like 30 to 40 acres as the reclaimed area is about 28 acres.
