r !
80CIT MOUNTAIN
MATERIALS & 8SP88LT INC,
1910 Rand Avenue
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
June 26, 2014
IVED
TimCazier
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety JUN 30 2014
1311. Sherman St. Room 215
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
Denver, Co. 80203 MINING AND SAFETY
RE: Penrose Ranch's Permit M1992-016
Surety Reduction
Tiin,
Following our previous ,iscussions, I have reviewed the information you emailed me in
reterer•ce to a oroperty release verses a lii'C'#'/ reduction. i lil5 1 r'"ie, i inirk L.''e :1ur ty
reduction would be the best route to use for this site. The attached map shows the areas that
the release was requested for. It also shows the areas that are still being used and are not ready
to be considered in this action. As noted in your inspection report, we will also need to leave
access to these areas for future reclamation efforts. The previous request was to release 1:10
acres. With the areas that are not ready, I would request that the surety reduction by
processed for 100 acres, leaving 10 acres for the areas that are still being used for materia
:storage and drainage.
1 would request that the Division approve the reduction for the tull cost of reclamation as all ur'
the 100 acres have been completely reclaimed and seeded. These areas have decent vegetation
on them and just need to continue to grow and I do not think we want to remove them from
the permit at this time.
Please let me.know what the recalculated bond is and we will get it tur)ed it so that
ame dment will go tnr gh as a ected.
2 om Smith
Rocky Mountain Materials &Asphalt, Inc.
Phone 473-3100•Fax 473-3109
