<br />GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE APPROVED DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS ON SITE AT ALL TIMES.
<br />2. AFTER RECEIVING THE "NOTICE TO PROCEED" AND PRIOR TO COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION
<br />ACTIVITIES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HOLD A "PRE— CONSTRUCTION MEETING ". ATTENDEES ARE TO
<br />INCLUDE THE CONTRACTOR, SUB— CONTRACTOR(S), ENGINEER, TESTING AGENCY, CITY
<br />REPRESENTATIVE, AND UTILITY OWNER(S).
<br />3. ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES MUST COMPLY WITH STATE OF COLORADO PERMITTING PROCESSES
<br />FOR "FUGITIVE DUST EMISSIONS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES". CDPHE, AIR
<br />POLLUTION CONTROL DIVISION, APCD —SS81, ATTN: LAND DEVELOPMENT PERMITTING SECTION,
<br />PHONE: (303) 692 -3150.
<br />4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING ALL EXISTING UNDERGROUND
<br />INSTALLATIONS, INCLUDING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND THEIR SERVICE CONNECTIONS, IN ADVANCE
<br />OF EXCAVATING OR TRENCHING, BY CONTACTING THE OWNERS THEREOF AND PROSPECTING.
<br />NOTWITHSTANDING UTILITY LOCATE SERVICES THAT MAY BE PROVIDED IN THE FILED BY UTILITY
<br />OWNERS, CONTRACTOR REMAINS ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL LOCATION OF
<br />ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, FACILITIES, STRUCTURE, OR INSTALLATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />USE HIS OWN INFORMATION AND SHALL NOT RELY UPON ANY INFORMATION SHOWN OR NOT
<br />SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR ON FIELD LOCATES PROVIDED BY THE UTILITY OWNER CONCERNING
<br />EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, FACILITIES, STRUCTURE, OR INSTALLATIONS. ANY DELAY,
<br />ADDITIONAL WORK, OR EXTRA COST TO THE CONTRACTOR CAUSED BY EXISTING UNDERGROUND
<br />UTILITIES, FACILITIES, STRUCTURE, OR INSTALLATIONS SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A CLAIM FOR EXTRA
<br />WORK, ADDITIONAL PAYMENT, OR DAMAGE.
<br />5. PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF ANY CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT ALL
<br />PUBLIC AND PRIVATE UTILITIES TO COORDINATE SCHEDULES.
<br />6. ALL UTILITY EASEMENTS MUST REMAIN UNOBSTRUCTED AND FULLY ACCESSIBLE ALONG THEIR ENTIRE
<br />LENGTH FOR MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT.
<br />7. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING EXISTING STREET IMPROVEMENTS SUCH AS,
<br />BUT NOT LIMITED TO SIGNS, UTILITIES, LANDSCAPING, AND PRIVATE PROPERTY FROM BEING
<br />DISTURBED OR DESTROYED DURING CONSTRUCTION. THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL JOINTLY INSPECT ALL EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS FOR DAMAGE. ALL DAMAGE
<br />CAUSED BY THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE CORRECTED AND PAID FOR BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO
<br />ACCEPTANCE OF WORK.
<br />8. STATIONS, ELEVATIONS, AND DIMENSIONS CONTAINED IN THESE PLANS ARE CALCULATED FROM A
<br />RECENT SURVEY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL CONSTRUCTION STAKING DEPENDENT
<br />DIMENSIONS IN THE FIELD BEFORE ORDERING OR FABRICATING ANY MATERIAL.
