Hallam St. <br />Aspen, CO 81611 <br />Re: Coal Basin Mines (Permit No. C- 1981 -017) <br />Termination of Jurisdiction (SL -2) <br />Dear Ms. Schroyer: <br />In accordance with Rule 3.03.2(5)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining (Rules), you are hereby notified that the Division's decision <br />to terminate its jurisdiction at the Coal Basin Mines became final on April 24, 2014. <br />The Division's published it proposed decision in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent once a <br />week for four consecutive weeks beginning February 27, 2014 through March 20, 2014. Three <br />comments were received during the comment period which closed on April 21, 2014, 30 days <br />after the last publication. <br />Comment letters were submitted by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of Land <br />Management (BLM) and the Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation (OSM). All three <br />agencies concurred with the Division's proposed decision to terminate jurisdiction at the Coal <br />Basin Mine.
