Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division has reviewed the response submitted by J.E. Stover & Associates, Inc. on behalf of Bowie
Resources, LLC (BRL) for minor revision application (MR -137) to the Bowie No. 2 Mine permit. The
revision proposes retention of portions of the Plantation Road at the request of the Forest Service.
In response to our request, BRL submitted a map delineating the proposed portion of the USDA -FS
Route 825 (Plantation Road) to be retained for permanent use as an ATV track. The map provided by
BRL, however, is inconsistent with the map generated by the USDA -FS indicating the portions of the
road to be retained. The map provided by the USDA -FS is attached. Please review the USDA -FS map,
and either revise BRL's proposed route consistent with the USDA -FS map, or provide comments from
the USDA -FS indicating that the route proposed by BRL is acceptable to the USDA -FS.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L.
