P�zao j- 0�5 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />BLACK RANGE ,,� <br />M I N E R A L S <br />�/ To: Tom Kaldenbach, Tim Cazier; DRMS <br />Cc: Susan Wyman - Whetstone, Bruce Smith -WWL <br />From: Rod Grebb <br />) Subject: Hansen Project Monitoring Wells Date: 11 September 2013 <br />Via: e -mail with mail hardcopy. <br />In order to continue our characterization of groundwater conditions at the Hansen <br />project, Black Range Minerals will install an additional five (5) monitoring wells. The <br />targeted locations and completion zones are shown on attached figures. The MW -F <br />location will have monitoring wells installed in the Echo Park Formation Tallahassee <br />Creek conglomerate, and the alluvium at the down - gradient location of the Echo Park <br />Formation. The MW -DG location will have monitoring wells installed in the <br />Tallahassee Creek conglomerate and the Thirty -nine Mile Andesite. The Echo Park <br />Formation does not exist at the DG location. Drilling and installation of these <br />monitoring wells is scheduled to begin in the week of 23 September. Monitoring <br />wells at the MW -UP location will be installed at a future date. <br />These monitoring wells are permitted in accordance with our current DRMS NOI #P- <br />2009 -025 and our Fremont County Conditional Use Permit #10 -003. NOI's have <br />been submitted to the Colorado Division of Water Resources (DWR). The monitoring <br />wells will be completed in accordance with Water Well Construction Rules (2 CCR <br />402 -2) and a completion report will be submitted to the DWR within 60 days of <br />installation. <br />Once completed, these wells will be monitored on a quarterly basis for at least five <br />(5) quarters to support mine permit application requirements. The monitoring wells <br />will be incorporated into our current surface water and groundwater monitoring <br />program and will be sampled according with our established Standard Operating and <br />Quality Assurance /Quality Control Procedures.
