EXHIBIT G
HOFFMAN PIT
M- 2005 -044
WATER INFORMATION
(1) The operation at this location is not expected to affect surface or ground water
systems. No water will be used to process the sand and gravel mined at this
site. Nor will any water be used during the reclamation process. Storm water
will be contained within the pit area and will be allowed to percolate into the
ground. No mining activity will take place when water is standing in the pit
area. The only water resource close to the affected land is a stock dam located
to the west of the western pit boundary (see the aerial photograph from
Google Earth. The enclosed SWMP will be used to prevent erosion products
from entering the drainage into this stock dam.
(2) The Water Quality Control Division at the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment was contacted about the need to obtain a "National
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System" (NPDES) Permit and stated that as
long as no water was discharged no permit was required.
8
