Seneca II-W Mine; C1982057
SL5 Application Adequacy Review No. 1
September 4, 2013
33
Page of

a. SCC needs to evaluate sediment levels entering the ponds receiving discharge from the release
area. Please submit annual sediment level survey data for each of the ponds receiving runoff
from the proposed release area beginning with the year each reclamation parcel was seeded.
b. Please provide an analysis, using a predictive model (SEDCAD or RUSLE), which compares the
suspended solids generated off the pre-mining land or comparable adjacent areas, to the bond
release area.
The Division must issue a proposed decision for the SL5 application by October 13, 2013. These adequacy
review items must be addressed to the Division’s satisfaction prior to this date. If you would like additional time
to address the Division’s adequacy review items please request an extension of the decision date.

Sincerely,

Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist

CC: Sandy Brown, DRMS
