We are concerned that the water is not being tested for lead. Can you please explain why lead was never added to the
test requirements? Is it possible that previous water samples were retained by the laboratory and these could be tested?
Lead has been proven to delay physical and mental development in infants and children (EPA Drinking Water
Contaminants: National Primary Drinking Water Regulations 5/2011).
We have not been able to find the 2011 Hydrology Report Review on your weblink. Can you please either email it to us or
send the weblink?
In the future, is there a possibility of taking water samples from Newlin Creek when there is water in the spring as was the
case in April, 2012? We are concerned about Newlin Creek not being tested and appearing to be going underground into
the mine workings. What can be done to confirm this and determine the water quality?
After reading the Reclamation Cost Estimate for the 2012 Midterm Review, we request that Pond #4 remain as is. Pond
#3 has a rubber lining and we request that the sediments be tested before removing the liner to ensure proper disposal.
We also ask that when the plugs are bought from the Forest Service, that water retention tablets also be purchased, that
supplemental watering be required and that fencing be installed to protect them from destruction. At pond 4, the gate has
been welded shut and the overflow apparatus doesn't work. We need to know why this was done and what if any
responsibility we have for overflow and water quality in the future.
It seems that the Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the first quarter of 2012 is not adequately completed with
locations or dates. Also the little information that is provided is unreadable on your weblink.
See Attachments 1 & 2 (Wells 23 and 16 data)
Please respond to all of the land owners as your earliest convenience and hopefully by July 31t"
Tena DeFellippie Gallagher Tena .aol.com
Linda DeFellippie Saunders Saunders615(a)live.com
Paula Coulter paulacoulteracomcast. net
Ted Coulter tedcoulter @yahoo.com
