MANAGEMENT
The DRMS is aware that monitoring well B -4 was destroyed by hillside construction
work. Bowie Resources, LLC "BRL" does not intend to replace the well. B -4 and B -5
are located below the crushing and screening level fill and were installed to detect
possible seepage in the original grade material and for the collection of subsurface
data. See Volume 6, Phase II Geotechnical Studies. The static water level in B -4 from
1981 through May 2012 ranged from 46 to 55 feet below ground surface with an
average of 46.8 feet. B -4 is not needed to determine whether there are adverse
impacts to the hydrologic balance since it did not provide any meaningful data for water
quality or quantity.
On behalf of BRL, enclosed is an application for a technical revision to remove
monitoring well B -4 from the required ground water monitoring requirements.
Table 4B and Map 4 -1 are enclosed.
Sincerely,
,E.
