Both holes are to be steel cased. The hole for the water pump will be seated in a 6'x 6'x l'
concrete base sitting on the ground surface. A 4'x 4' x 8' metal building will be constructed on the
concrete platform containing the pump system to prevent freezing. Power will be brought to the pump
and building by the addition of two power poles and transmission lines coming from the existing MCC
building. An outlet pipe will also be installed in the concrete base to convey water to a nearby ditch (RC-
D3).
The pump will operate intermittently depending on mine in -flows and never exceed 50 gpm (capacity of
the pump). The downstream drainage structures are over - designed and can easily accommodate increased
intermittent flows of up to 50 gpm/0.
