The Division received Peabody Sage Creek Mining's (SCC) application for a technical revision
(TR -07) on July 15, 2013. The application was determined to be complete on July 23, 2013. As
of the date of this letter, no concerns have been received from other agencies regarding this
proposed technical revision. The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has
completed its adequacy review of the proposed technical revision. Please respond to the
following comments or concerns as necessary:
Revised page 2.05 -25 omits information required and approved on approved page 2.05-
25. Please revise the proposed text to include the information on approved page
2.05 -25.
2. The revisions associated with the relocation and addition of ditches and culverts proposed
in TR -7 and delineated on Map M- 2.05.3 -M4 are not identified in the same location on
proposed Map M- 2.05.3 -MIA. Please revise the appropriate proposed Map to
identify the correct revised location of ditches and culverts on all required maps.
Proposed Table 2.05.3 -E2 -11 on proposed page 2.05.3 -E2.23 lists culvert SC -18. The
Division understands that based on the information proposed in TR -7, culvert SC -18 is to
be removed due to the relocation of the substation pad access road and the addition of
culvert SC -30. If it is the intention of PSCM to remove SC -18, please revise Table
2.05.3 -E2 -11 to label culvert SC -18 as removed or remove the culvert from the table.
