6.4.9 Exhibit I
Soils Information
The only soil series present within the proposed permit boundary is Tecolote,
a very cobbly sandy loam usually on 5 to 15 percent slopes with outcropping stones
(Exhibit C -2). The NRCS soil description follows. Tecolote is present to a depth of
more than 80 inches, the extent of the study. Surface material within one inch of
ground surface is described as "slightly decomposed plant material" rather than
topsoil. The top 18 inches of material will be salvaged and used with fines in
reclamation.
