CONTINUED FROM COVER SHEET
PERMITTEE: CHEYENNE COUNTY
M- 2007 -076 (Klement Pit):
This pit is only utilized on an "as needed" basis for the purpose of maintaining county
roads for the road and bridge district in the eastern part of the county.
M- 2000 -018 (Munsch Pit):
There was no mining activity conducted at this pit in the past year. There may be some
limited mining in the 2013 year.
M- 1984 -114 (Baker Pit):
This pit supplies a major supply of gravel on the western end of the county to service
county roads.
M- 1995 -042 (Lowe Pit #3):
This pit was recently inspected for guidance on how to reclaim proper slopes to close pit.
A technical revision was submitted and approved this year for slope revision. There is no current
mining in this pit, but road and bridge crews are hauling off stockpiles to reclaim land and
release pit. Moisture will be a contributing factor that will be needed to grow native grasslands
to original habitat.
M- 1983 -105 (County Pit #1):
There has been minimal mining completed at this pit. The county will continue to use
this pit on an "as needed" limited basis.
M- 1983 -106 (County Pit #2):
This pit continues to supply a major portion of gravel on the western county roads.
M- 1987 -118 (Lowe Pit #1):
This pit was released in March of 2013.
✓M -1999 -083 (Rother Pit):
This pit has always been a valuable pit for servicing gravel on county roads. It is
anticipated it will be a major gravel pit for many years in the future.
