Mr. Berhan Keffelew Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety
August 12, 2013
Page 4
AGGREGATE
INDUSTRIES
inundated. This additional information addresses the Division's first question under Item 6.
With regard to the second question under Item 6, since the aerial extent of exposed
groundwater is being reduced, the current substitute supply plan is more than sufficient to
meet State Engineer requirements. The currently approved plan addresses evaporative loses
for 11 acres.
Amended Revision Request
Permit AM -2 provided for possible construction of a spillway at the north end of the "North Lake" area;
however, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District did not want that hard surface feature and therefore it is
no longer proposed in the reclamation plan for this area. In order to assure that this feature is no longer
considered as a requirement of reclamation, AI requests that the Division acknowledge its removal from the
plan.
If you have questions, please contact me at (970) 396 -5252 or connie.daviskaggregate- us.com.
Very truly yours,
Connie N. Davis
Land Advisor
