Enviro -Chem Analytical, Inc.
2493 Hwy 6 &50 Unit 7
Grand Junction, CO 81505
Results
Effluent Chemistry Results
Chronic Toxicity Testing
OXBOW — July 2013
2 Species
Table 1 contains the arrival chemistry values obtained for each sample. Effluent
sample arrival temperatures ranged from 1.4 -1.6C. Total ammonia concentration
was below detection ( <1.0 mg /L) for each of the three effluent samples. The total
residual chlorine was below detection ( <0.02 mg /L) for all three samples.
Tables 2 and 3 contain the routine chemistry results obtained during the toxicity
tests. All pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and temperature values were within
acceptable ranges.
Effluent Toxicity Results for Fathead Minnows
Table 4 contains the survival and growth results for the fathead minnow effluent
test. Control organism survival (100 %) met the minimum performance
requirement. Chronic survival results show that all effluent dilutions supported
mean survival of 100 %. The undiluted effluent supported mean survival of 100 %.
The MHW control exposure supported acceptable fathead minnow growth of
0.249 mg +/- 0.32 mg. The mean dry weight of the fathead minnows exposed to
differing concentration of effluent ranged from 0.206 mg to 0.254 mg. The mean
dry weight for the undiluted effluent was 0.244 mg +/- 0.28 mg.
The NOEC based on survival was >100% effluent. The NOEC based on growth
was 100% effluent.
