It would also be beneficial if BRL would plot the upstream and downstream data for each
surface water site on one graph, to better illustrate the downstream trends.
c. Inclusion of baseline data for the all of the ponds enables the reviewer to easily compare current
conditions with baseline. Some of the ponds include baseline data, but several do not. (Figures
187 -194 do not). Please include baseline data for all ponds in future reports.
Annual Mine Inflow Report
The report included all of the information required by Rules 4.05.13(1) and (4) and the approved
monitoring plan. Inflows were consistent with predictions in the approved permit application package;
the Division has no questions or comments at this time.
Semi - Annual Subsidence Monitoring Reports
The report included all of the information required by Rule 2.05.6(6) and the approved permit
application package. The reported subsidence features were consistent with the subsidence predictions
made in the approved permit application package. BRL documented several subsidence features that
presumably will be repaired as outlined in the Subsidence Handbook in Exhibit 15 of Volume 3A of the
permit application package. Please provide additional information, in the nextsemi - annual report, on
the status of those repairs. In future reports, it would be helpful if BRL summarized the current status
of previously identified subsidence features and if /how the identified features had been repaired.
The Division appreciates BRL submitting the annual reports electronically and in a timely manner. If you
have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Susan L. Burgmaier
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Jim Stover, J.E.
