TR40 proposes to eliminate a monitoring well from Southfiield's
approved groundwater monitoring program. The TR application was submitted last January, but found Incomplete
for lack of scientific information justifying the request. The well being proposed for removal from Southfiield's water
monitoring program is the well that is the subject of an NOV that we issued to Energy Fuels this past January;
that NOV has been appealed to the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
Energy Fuels obtained the services of a groundwater consulting firm to prepare the recently- submitted materials;
the firm, in turn, supplied information regarding three groundwater models that the firm states supports Energy
Fuels' request. The consulting firm's response relies in part on Mike's earlier report responding to complaints
filed by the Vento family last year regarding groundwater quality.
would like Mike to review the materials submitted for TR40, and let us know if he agrees with Energy Fuels that
https: / /mai l.g oog le.conVmai 1 /u /0 / ?ui =2 &i k= e29129fcb5 &view= pt &search =i nbox&th= 140363622aca8d34 1/2
