PERMIT AREA LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The permit area is located east and south of Hayden, Colorado in Routt County, Colorado; the coal handling facility area is
approximately two miles southeast of Hayden_ The USGS 7.5 quadrangle map Mount Harris, Colorado, contains the described area of
the site.
The proposed permit area for the Hayden Gulch Loadout contains approximately 175.3 acres. Approximately 97.1 acres of the
permitted area have been affected. No additional disturbances are contemplated at this time for the operational life ofthe facility (see
Exhibit 17 -1). However, an additional 8.4 acres may be disturbcxi during reclamation to accommodate grading activities.
The legal description of the permit area is:
