This letter is to
answer the issues concerning those three wells.
The first issue is the well that can be used for dewatering the Kurtz mine. The well was
permitted as 2489 -F for irrigation. This permit was abandoned, and the well was permitted as
74389 -F for dewatering. The state's database has been updated to show the dewatering permit.
The second issue is a requirement that a well permit be obtained for the Western Sugar
Pit (M- 10 -49) in the Durham SWSP. This Permit No. 75865 -F was issued.
The third issue is a requirement that a well permit be obtained for the Dakolios Pit (M-
84-36) in the Durham SWSP. The unlined pit in this complex has been backfilled and
groundwater is no longer exposed by this structure.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments regarding these wells.
Sincerely,
Ci6
Cheryl Signs, P.
