M- 2008 -078P/
Dear Mr. O'Donnell,
GP Aggregates, LLC. (GP) requests a revision to their existing permit to address the following 2 items:
1. Exhibit C — Pre - Mining /Mining Plan
a. Revision of the mine phasing.
b. Revision (reduction) of the total mining area.
c. Revision of mining slope from vertical to 3:1.
d. Addition of an interior impermeable slurry wall around revised phases 1 -4.
2. Exhibit F — Reclamation Plan
a. Revision of the financial warranty required for the reclamation of each phase of mining.
Detailed descriptions of these revisions are in the following sections.
Exhibit C — Pre- Minin_g/Minin_a Plan
Revision of mine phasing
Phase 1A remains unchanged. Phasing for the mine has been revised to start in the northeast
corner of the site in the north mining area. Phases 1 through 4 are clustered in that corner of the
mine. Mining in the north mining area will then move to the northeast corner of the site in Phase 5
and proceed to the south, then west, through Phase 9. Phases 10 through 13 will then be
completed from east to west in the north mining area. No revisions to the phases in the south
mining area are requested. Minor revisions to the boundaries of Phases 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, & 12 have
been shown to accommodate the construction of an impermeable slurry wall adjacent to the
perimeter of these phases and provide a minimum 25 foot setback from the top of mining slope to
the edge of the slurry wall.
4 305 Denver Avenue, Suite D • Fort Lupton, CO 80621 - Ph: 303 -857 -6222 - Fax: 303 - 857 -6224
