After the <br />completion of the backfilling a rubber tired backhoe bladed the areas affected by the <br />prospecting. Stockpiled topsoil was spread over the area. Several small log damns were <br />constructed. I returned 4 weeks later in September 2009, to plant 30lbs of native seed mix as <br />listed in the Noi. This was hand cast and raked into place. Rechecking the area in spring 2010 <br />showed only little to moderate new growth. The area was reseeded at that time. 2011 and <br />2012 also showed moderate growth. Finally this year extensive growth of grasses and native <br />plants have covered an area greater than 50% of original cover. <br />John Crowley <br />
