NWCC visited the site on June 10 and june 28, 2013. Based on the report,
NWCC did not observe any signs of instability, structural weakness or hazardous conditions at the pile.
These observations reflect observations with on-site inspections conducted by the Division of the Waste
Pile. The report states that the wash plants produced approximately 280,135 tons of waste coal. On
th
June 10 a total of five compaction tests were conducted at the Expansion Area. All tests met the
minimum compaction requirement of 90% of the maximum standard Procter density.

As of the date of the report, no new stripping of topsoil and cover materials was conducted and no new
haul road construction had taken place.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
