The embankment appeared stable. <br /> Pond 013 was holding water and was discharging. Western Fuels is pumping water from an adjacent creek into <br /> the pond. The embankment appeared <br /> stable. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15;Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> The irrigated pasture reference area was observed. The area has been harvested for hay this year. According to <br /> Mr.Fry,this occurred after vegetation sampling was conducted in the pasture area. The southern half of the field <br /> was being irrigated. The northern half does not appear to have been irrigated recently and the area was fairly dry. <br /> The irrigated pasture south of 5th Avenue was not being irrigated at the time of the inspection. Mr.Fry indicated <br /> the pump on the side role system was broken but had been fixed earlier that day and that irrigation would start <br /> again soon in this pasture. The area was harvested for hay this spring after vegetation sampling occurred <br /> according to Mr.Fry. <br /> The dryland pasture north of 5th Avenue was walked. Cover is fairly sparse with what appears to be rye and <br /> wheatgrasses primarily. Deer and elk sign was observed throughout this parcel. According to Mr.Fry this area is <br /> heavily utilized by these species during the winter. Russian Thistle was observed throughout the area. White top <br /> was observed in several areas of this pasture but it appears to have been treated with a herbicide. Several <br /> Tamarisk trees were observed near the drainage in this pasture. <br /> The irrigated pasture north of 5th Avenue,west of 2700 Road and South of BB road was observed. This pasture <br /> was being irrigated at the time of inspection with side roles. It has been very dry this year in the Nucla area <br /> according to Mr.Fry. This pasture was dry in spots. This pasture was harvested for hay this spring after <br /> vegetation sampling occurred. A parcel of land within this pasture was leveled and seeded in 2007. This parcel is <br /> depicted on the 2007 Reseeding and Rodent Management areas map. This area is dominated by pasture grasses <br /> and generally has less alfalfa established than the surrounding pasture in the southern reaches of the parcel. <br /> The 2012 seeding map submitted with the 2012 Annual Reclamation Report depicts the areas that have been <br /> seeded and the year they were seeded. The 2012 dryland pasture area that was seeded was dominated by Russian <br /> thistle and the cover crop. It does not appear the desired vegetation has germinated this year. <br /> The 2011 seeding area was walked and the area is dominated by crested wheatgrass and other wheatgrasses. The <br /> 2009 dryland pasture area was dominated by salt brush and crested wheatgrass. <br /> An irrigated pasture area has been planted this year south of the Pond 012.
