The estimated cost to reclaim the three dewatering wells is $4,935.57. My estimate is
attached.
would recommend that WFC add details of the well construction (location, depth, diameter, casing) to the PAP,
either in the operation plan, reclamation plan, or both.
Please let me know if you have questions or need additional information.
Susan L. I called the
application complete on July 9.
MR -07 requests installation of three dewatering wells which will be drilled into the backfilled spoil at the former
highwall of Peabody's Nucla Mine. Well permits have been issued by DWR, and were included in the
application.
Subsequent information from WFC's consultant indicates that one well will be 65 feet deep, and the other two
will be 85 feet deep. Specifics about the borehole diameter and completion were provided by Doug White, of
Western Fuels, in the Email forwarded below.
would like to request your assistance with the reclamation cost estimate for these three wells. Please let me
know what your time availability is. If possible, I would like to issue our decision this week.
Thank you, and let me know if you have any questions.
Marcia
Marcia L.
