b) MCM anticipates that some minor reclamation, consisting of removal of obsolete belt -lines and mlllor
structures, may occur during Temporary Cessation, but does not anticipate completing any additional
backfilling or grading activities for the foreseeable future. The extent and timing of future reclamation
has not yet been determined, however, the CDRMS will be notified of the extent and timing of any
supplemental reclamation prior to initiation of any work. A copy of the 2012 Williams Fork Mines -
Annual Reclamation Report accompanies this request for reference.
c) As noted, the CDRMS will be notified in advance of any planned reclamation work, and any significant
changes in environmental monitoring, water treatment activities, site management, or other related
activities, and, if appropriate, MCM will pursue any related permit revision(s) that may be necessary.
d) As indicated in the introductory discussion, resumption of operations is unlikely to occur anytime in the
near future based on current and anticipated market conditions and other factors.
Relative to modification of current hydrologic monitoring under Temporary Cessation, MCM proposes to utilize
the modified monitoring schedule (attached Appendix D) jointly developed with the CDMG (Tom Kaldenbach)
in 2001. Please review, and let us know if you think this is appropriate (note that we will continue our regular
CDPS monitoring under the applicable terms of our WQCD Permit).
After you have opportunity to review the accompanying information, please feel free to contact me with any
questions, or to discuss submittal materials or related matters.
Best regards,
For Moffat County Mining, LLC
(3 C/JcA
Brian A.
