REPORT <br />OF A <br />MINERAL EVALUATION <br />SCOPE <br />This report presents the results of a mineral evaluation prepared <br />for an approximate fifty -five (55) acre site located north of the Cache <br />La Poudre River east of Greeley, Colorado. The evaluation was carried <br />out by means of test borings, engineering evaluation, and preparation of <br />this report. <br />The objectives of this evaluation were to (1) determine the depth <br />of overburden and thickness of sand and gravel encountered at the site <br />and (2) determine the approximate quantities of overburden and sand and <br />gravel encountered. <br />SITE INVESTIGATION <br />The field investigation, carried out on February 4, 1981, consisted <br />of drilling, logging, and sampling nine (9) test borings. The locations <br />of the test borings are shown on the Test Boring Location Plan included <br />in Appendix A of this report. Boring logs prepared from the field toys <br />are shown in Appendix A. These logs show soils encountered, location of <br />sampling, and groundwater at the time of the investigation. <br />All borings were advanced with a four -inch diameter, continuous - <br />type, power - flight auger drill. During the drilling operations, a soils <br />engineer from Empire Laboratories, Inc. was present and made a con- <br />tinuous visual inspection of the soils encountered. <br />SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br />The proposed site is located on Weld County Road 41 -1/2 south of k <br />County Road 62 east of Greeley, Colorado.
