This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is
proposing to Approve a revision application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The
application was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc on February 27, 2013, for the Deserado
Mine.
The Underground mine is located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The
permit area is further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, T2N, R10 1W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County;
Portions of Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101W, 6th
PM; All of Sections 22, 29, 32, and 33, T3N, R101W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County.
Copies of the revision application are available for public review in the Division offices at the
above address and at the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder. Copies of the Division's
"Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance" are also available at those locations.
