PERMIT #: M- 2008 -082 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: PSH <br />INSPECTION DATE: June 28, 2013 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Morton Lakes site was inspected by Peter Hays with the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division) as part of the Division's monitoring inspection program. Mr. Bill Timmons with Ready Mixed <br />Concrete Company was present during the inspection. The site was previously inspected by the Division on <br />March 5, 2009. <br />The Division holds a financial warranty in the amount of $202,000.00, which is adequate to reclaim the site <br />based on this inspection. The mine sign was observed and the boundaries were defined as required by Rule <br />3.1.12. <br />Morton Lakes is adjacent to the Holton Lakes site and the two sites are expected to be operated as a single <br />mining operation. The site is undisturbed by mining activity. The site is currently being used for agricultural <br />and grazing purposes. Stage 5 is being contract farmed by Petrocco Farms. The other stages remain as native <br />rangeland. The site was inspected by driving the available roads to observe the permitted area. <br />Two new oil and gas facilities have been installed in the northwest corner of Stage 3 and the northeast section <br />of Stage 5. The Operator will be required to update the Mine and Reclamation Plan Maps in the future to <br />accurately depict the wells at the site. <br />Photographs taken during the inspection are attached.
