Dear Mr. McCourt:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve the partial
release of coal exploration reclamation liability of Colowyo Coal Company for Notice of Intent No.
X- 2005- 109 -12. A Bond was submitted to cover reclamation costs of exploration drill holes in
Moffat County. An inspection showed that all of the disturbances proposed for release have been
adequately reclaimed or mined through and covered by the reclamation of Colowyo Mine's permit
#C -1980 -019.
The legal description for the project is as follows: Sec.16 -21 T3N R93 W; Sec. l - 3,10,11 T3N
R94W; Sec.36,35 T4N R94W.
The Division currently holds a corporate surety in the amount of $464,485.00 for X- 2005 - 109 -12.
The Division proposes to release $452,262.00 and retain $12,223.00 for the vegetation at the access
road to site C- 06 -26, the vegetation at the sites and access roads to LW -06 -01 and LW- 06 -11, and
the monitoring wells that remain at sites C- 06 -21, C- 06 -26, C- 06 -34, ST- 06 -04, and ST- 06 -17.
Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by this proposed decision may submit
written, or a written request for an adjudicatory hearing before the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board, to the Division at the address above within 30 days of the second publication of
the proposed decision in the Craig Dully Press.
