The applica_ <br />unit was submitted by Western Fuels-colorado, LLC for <br />a coal mining permit at the New Horizon Mine (Permit <br />No. C- 1981 -008). With this application, the operator had <br />proposed to revise the acreage of prime farmlands identi- <br />fied within the permit area <br />The New Horizon Mme is a Surface operation located in <br />Montrose County, approximately 1.7 miles Northwest of <br />Nucla, Colorado Coal interest is Private, and the surface <br />affected is Private land. The permit area encompasses <br />approximately 926.06 acres <br />Published in the San Miguel Basin Potion on June 27 <br />and July 4, 2013 <br />
