The following represents an example of how the reclamation success criteria would be applied
When determining reclamation success.

Reclamation success standards will remain as previously approved in the permit:
Weighted average: Proportion of weighted average is based upon mapped
pre- disturbance vegetation mapping units (see map 16), and relative acreage of
areas disturbed.
The approved ratio of vegetation communities disturbed by Southfield mining activities at the mine
area (mine area includes portal and facilities area and the refuse disposal area):
(permit page 2.05.4 -27) 79.8% grassland + 20.2% PPJ
Cover success will be compared to:
0.90[(0.798 x Grassland Ref. Area cover mean) +(0.202 x PJ Ref. Area cover mean)
Productivity success will be compared to:
0.90[(0.798 x Grassland Ref. Area herbaceous productivity mean)+
(0.202 x PJ Ref. Area herbaceous productivity mean)
Woody plant density will be compared to:
0.90[(0.798 x Grassland Ref. Area wpd mean) +(0.202 x PJ Ref. Area wpd mean).
EFCI provided additional detail to define if a portion of the reclaimed area is requested for
bond release, EFCI would determine the weighted pre- disturbance plant community ratio
specific to the bond release block as shown on Map 16.
Diversity standard remains as:
Species diversity will be considered successful based on vegetative cover data:
4 dominant sp. comprise =/< 80% total species composition
2 dominant warm season grass species collectively comprise 50% of total plant
cover composition
