The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve the partial
release of coal exploration reclamation liability of Colowyo Coal Company for Notices of Intent
Nos. X- 2006 - 109 -13, X- 2005- 109 -12, X- 2005- 109 -11, X- 2004 - 109 -10, and X- 2004 - 109 -09.
Bonds were submitted to cover reclamation costs of exploration drill holes in Moffat County. An
inspection showed that all of the disturbances proposed for release have been adequately reclaimed
or mined through and covered by the reclamation of Colowyo Mine's permit #C- 1980 -019.
The legal description for the projects and the amount, based on the Division's estimates, which is
required to cover the reclamation of the remaining activities yet to be released are as follows:
X- 2006 - 109 -13: Sec.9,16 -20 T3N R93W. $249.00 retained.
X- 2005 - 109 -12: Sec.16 -21 T3N R93W; Sec.1- 3,10,11 T3N R94W;Sec.36,35 T4N R94W.
$12,223.00 retained.
X- 2005 - 109 -11: Sec.4,6- 9,16 -19 T3N R93W; Sec. 1-4,10-12 T3N R94W; Sec.29,30,32 T4N R93W;
Sec. 24,25,33 -35 T4N R94W. $4,618.00 retained.
X- 2004 - 109 -10: Sec.1- 4,11,12 T3N R94W; Sec. 13,22,24,27,33 -36 T4N R94W. $42,665.00
retained.
