EFR conducted extensive spraying of noxious weed
patches in June 2012 on the DOE lease tract, C- CM -24. EFR has also cut -down and treated
the stumps of several large Tamarisk plants and sprayed numerous small ones. This treatment
of both knapweed and Tamarisk will continue to be monitored throughout the 2013 growing
season and additional treatments applied, if necessary. No other work was performed on this
DOE lease tract. (Note: most of the weeds treated under DOE direction are not in the areas
disturbed by the drilling conducted under this NOI where the weeds are under control). The
court ruling against DOE prohibits any surface - disturbing activity on all leases until the court-
ordered Programmatic Environmental Impact Study (PEIS) is completed. The Draft PSIS is
currently available for public comment. The approval of the PEIS is not likely before spring
of 2014. EFR will not conduct any exploration activities until after that. Therefore, EFR is
requesting termination of NOI P- 2009 -014 and release of the $100 bond held by DRMS.
A map showing the locations of the holes was previously provided.
