CLIMATE INFORMATION <br />1. General Information <br />EXHIBIT K <br />The following climate information is for Hayden, Colorado, which is located at an elevation of <br />6434 feet. The elevation of the pit is s approximately 6,445 feet above sea level. The existing <br />permit area and the mining expansion area have similar climate conditions. The closest weather <br />station to the Camilletti Pit is in Hayden, Colorado. The area does not receive the enhanced <br />winter orographic precipitation typical of Steamboat Springs, 23 miles east of Hayden. The <br />average annual precipitation in this area is 16.99 inches. Hayden receives an average of 113.3 <br />inches of snowfall per year. This area also has an average of 113 days with at least 1 inch of <br />snow on the ground. The typical growing season is approximately 80 days. Prevailing winds are <br />from the west.
