cc ameO <br />Secondary Underdrain: <br />No work was performed on the Secondary underdrain during this reporting period. <br />A total of 1380 feet of Secondary underdrain has been completed. <br />Primary Underdrain: <br />One Cat 330 BL Excavator was used to excavate additional trench from the existing east end of the already placed <br />Primary underdrain pipe. 340 feet of Primary underdrain pipe was instated. <br />A total of 1260 feet of Primary underdrain has been completed. <br />Underdrain Ponds: <br />Formwork and rebar placement occurred early in the week which was followed by concrete placement. Final <br />concrete was placed within the ponds on Friday. An Amec field representative inspected rebar placement and <br />tested for Slump and Air in the field. Samples were obtained for compressive strength testing as -well. <br />Field inspections and field concrete testing results meet all requirements as specified. <br />Tree /Slash Clearing, Chipping: <br />Seed Masters resumed chipping stockpiled trees and slash during this reporting period. Chipping is expected to <br />continue. One "Chipper" and two CAT 330 excavators were in operation. <br />B) Underground Workings <br />Confirmatory drilling continued during the reporting period on UG Working No. U6122 and U6136. All drill locations <br />were spaced on 4( + / -) foot centers and drilled to specified depth. Exploratory excavation will continue until <br />remediation has been performed. <br />During this reporting period exploratory excavation was performed on UG working No. 6144. This site will continue <br />with excavation into bedrock as remediation continues as specified. <br />During this reporting period remediation efforts were performed and completed on UG working No. 6145. Site listed <br />were excavated to practical refusal into rock varying depths depending on the working remediated. The site for each <br />working was then backfilled in 2 foot loose lifts to approximate planned subgrade elevation using the onsite <br />structural fill (excavated material) and "bucket tamped" with the back of the CAT 330 excavator bucket. All backfill <br />material was free of organic material, ice and snow and are considered remediated as specified. <br />Q Highway 67 <br />MHT #2 is in place and is working properly. Highway 67 embankment fill continued during this reporting period. <br />H) Storm Water Management <br />Best Management Practices (BMP) are being performed. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES• -- <br />1) Field Activities: Construction activities and observation of clearing and grubbing, VLF Phase I fill and compaction, <br />underground workings, HWY 67 embankment fill placement, Underdrain pond construction and concrete testing were <br />some of the tasks performed in the field during this reporting period as required per project specifications. <br />Page 2 of 6 MLE2 WE 05.18.13.doc <br />
