Colowyo controls approximately 74.2
million recoverable tons of coal in the northern end of the CMA. An
estimated additional 110.2 million tons of unleased Federal coal also exists in
the CMA. The "Measured + Indicated" resource base is estimated to contain
183.8 million recoverable tons with an estimated recovery factor of 90 %.
Table 8.3
Estimated Recoverable Coal Resources of the Collom Mine Area
Measured
Resource Area Measured Indicated + Indicated Inferred Total
Controlled Resources 74,161 13 74,174 - 74,174
Uncontrolled Resources 90,493 19,146 109,639 577 110,217
Total Collom Mine Area 164,654 19,159 183,813 577 184,390
The estimated product coal quality of the Measured + Indicated resources in
the CMA is:
Oualitv Parameter
Product Moisture
Ash
Heat (Btu /Ib)
Total Sulfur
Ash Fusion Temp.
Estimated Value
16.07
6.56
10,460
0.48
2,505
The coal resource estimates of the CMA include all coal seams from the Y25
through the GB seam.
August 2005 Page 34 of 38
